Is an employer allowed to deduct time from an employee for when he takes a break for Breakfast and lunch (1/2 hour each)?
this employee generally works about 10 hours/day.
what state? Generally though the answer would be yes as long as the employee actually took the break. Anything under 20 minutes though would have to be paid.
it's in NY
and this is even if he doesn't clock in/out for his breaks?
