Would a W2c be needed if I had employees sign up for health insurance coverage retro actively to December 2017, but I had already processed and submitted the W2's?
how many w-2s did you send out? W-2s for 2017 or 2018 were already sent out? If 2018,Why would you send them already before the end of the year?
and how did the employees sign up "retroactively to Dec 2017"? Who paid the premiums for the missed year? How was this not in violation of the Section 125 30 day qualifying event and/or the insurance carrier's statute of limitations to correct mistakes? (thinking from a benefits standpoint, this doesn't pass a smell test!)
Too many details missing....
