Commission Only Employees, do we pay Federal and State(Colorado) Unemployment Taxes against them? When I run Commission Payroll Check through QB I am not seeing either Unemployment tax showing as a liability?

  • well, the OP piggiebacked on a 2008 posting to put his question on the other one...

But I have to agree that UI should be calculating on commission only wages. However, at least the federal calculation is limited to the first $x in a year. Not sure about that specific state.

  • CO indexes their SUI-limit. $12,600 for 2018.
