Mostly that they don't have to give you their SS card/number. Or they shouldn't ever have anything withheld at all for whatever reason.

Many payroll people have heard that a wet signature on a paper form is required when a new employee is onboarded. The electronic version carries just as much weight as a paper/wet signature version. I hear this comment frequently at Statewide payroll meetings
