Is there a W-2 fillable form anywhere online.

  • I'm not sure you'll find one since Form W-2 is a machine-scanned form. You can file electronically through Social Security's online business services function.

    For SSA filing:

Since 2001 SSA has approved and allowed black and white (formerly called "laser") printed W-2 and W-3 forms. The catch is the forms have to be preapproved each year, and while the form design may be set early in the year, they do not start the approval process until at least August.

You might be able to license some sort of fill in the blank software, but I doubt there is any free fill in the blank software.

For employee copies, you could print blanks from the SSA site, or even create your own, as long as you include the required information in roughly the usual locations.
  • Thanks All for the response.

  • Here is the link to the IRS website: yet it's not fillable from the website, you can download the file and fill it with Adobe Reader. For filling from a website, use this paid third-party tool: or PDFelement
